Aim ________________________________________ This course is aimed at Care Assistants & Support Workers working within the care industry. Who is this course for? ________________________________________ The course aims to develop the knowledge and skills for all those who wish to work with Adults in Health and Social Care settings in England. The course is made up of a mixture of mandatory units, specific pathway units and optional units, based on skills or competence or knowledge.

To achieve diploma level 2, learner need to complete a total of 46 credit value. Depending on the nature of learner's area of work, learners will choose a relevant pathway which relates to their work. There are three pathways;- Generic, Dementia or Learning Disabilities. There are 9 mandatory units (24 credits values) :-
Optional Units
Learners must complete additional 22 credit values (optional units) to achieve the full qualification. The diploma replaces the previous Level 2 NVQ

Who is this course for? ________________________________________ This course is designed for candidates who are already a care worker, and you have some responsibility in your workplace. You sometimes work without supervision. You want to increase your skills, perhaps to become a more senior care worker. Mental Health Awareness Level 1 Accredited
Aim ________________________________________ This course will give care workers or anyone working in the mental health sector the confidence they need to interact sensitively and effectively when they inevitably come into contact with someone with a mental health problem.
